  • For the best flavor, let the seasoning rest overnight before using. The flavors will meld together and become more balanced and pronounced by the next day.

Notes

For more heat, replace the chipotle powder with ground chile de árbol.
For a milder seasoning, replace the chipotle powder with paprika.
Use pre-ground chiles for convenience, or grind your own.
A small amount of sugar can be added, but it is completely optional.
Adjust the salt to suit your preference.
